So you've completed your Basic Firefighter 1 Academy and you're looking for hands-on experience?
You've come to the right place!
Arcata Fire District's internship program offers full-time, career firefighting experience to help academy graduates obtain their Firefighter 1 State Certification. Recruits will be assigned to a shift as the 3rd firefighter on the engine and will be utilized in the same capacity as any other career firefighter.
Arcata Fire District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
